Stronger Together: Nonprofit Center Plan Offers Group
Health Insurance to All Member Organizations

At last, there is an insurance option for nonprofit organizations that do not have group health coverage or are interested in the cost savings that may be realized by becoming part of a larger insurance pool.

We’re pleased to announce the availability of the Nonprofit Center Plan, an association health insurance plan that brings individual nonprofits together to leverage our combined purchasing power. The provider is WPS Health Insurance, Wisconsin’s leading nonprofit insurer. To be eligible for this insurance, organizations must be:

  • A Wisconsin tax-exempt nonprofit organization
  • A Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee member group in good standing

That’s it. The plan is open to all of our nonprofit member groups regardless of the number of employees you have. You may select one of two flexible plan options: a traditional PPO plan featuring richer benefits and office visit co-pays, or an HSA plan offering lower premiums and built-in tax savings for employees.

Because of the “reach” of WPS, the Nonprofit Center Plan provides convenient access to physicians and health care facilities throughout Wisconsin and offers cost-saving regional networks as well as comprehensive statewide and national coverage.

Benefits exclusive to the Nonprofit Center Plan include optional domestic partner benefits, retiree coverage to age 65 for qualifying employees, continuous coverage for spouses of members with a WPS Medicare supplement plan, and the ability for “groups” of just one person to apply.

In addition, as an association member, you have more of a voice than the typical “group member” when is comes to your plan’s design and benefits. So why go it alone? With the Nonprofit Center plan, we’re stronger together.
