Over the last few years, a network of trained leaders is beginning to emerge through the work of the School for Resident Leaders (which provides leadership training for Making Connections residents), and the Family Leadership Academy (which trains parents to become more effective advocates for their children in school).

The increase in trained leadership has been substantial.  More importantly, this leadership has become engaged – first in activities that are a direct result of their training, then through other strategy work within Making Connections.    The table to the right is a brief summary of key activity.  (Often residents are involved in more than one program.)

Making Connections Milwaukee will work to document resident leadership involvement in a wide variety of ways beyond the strategies of the Initiative as well.
