Also predictably, long term residents and home owners are much more likely to be engaged in community issues.  In most all neighborhoods, 30 to 35% of households were engaged.  Half of homeowners with no children were involved in the community compared to only 25% of renters with children.

Residents did express concerns through the community survey.  Slightly less than half of households with children agreed that the “neighborhood was a good place to raise kids” compared to 81% county-wide.  But more residents were optimistic about the future of the neighborhood ─ 54% of households with children compared to 34% county-wide.
