Critcal socio-economic census data is only available at the "block group" level. These units are 6 to 8 blocks in size. These building blocks rarely conform to the social neighborhood boundaries. So another division of the neighborhood has been created to represent demographically different parts of the area using whole block groups.

Occasionally block groups do not fit well at the boundaries of Making Connections. Some blocks outside the area are included and some blocks within the area are excluded from these statistics.
